At the trailer launch event of 'Gadar 2', Sunny Deol was seen getting teary-eyed and it was then that Ameesha Patel decided to wipe his tears.
The much-anticipated trailer of 'Gadar 2' was unveiled on Wednesday evening, and fans are loving the avatar of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, who are going to reprise their roles as Tara Singh and Sakina respectively. At the trailer launch event, Sunny Deol was seen getting teary-eyed and it was then that Ameesha Patel decided to wipe his tears, and even gave him a warm hug.

Apart from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, the trailer launch event was attended by Utkarsh Sharma, Shariq Patel, Mithoon, Simrat Kaur, Alka Yagnik, Jubin Nautiyal and Aditya Narayan.
At the event, Sunny Deol said that the citizens of India and Pakistan want only love and peace for each other, and it is just the "political game" which is giving rise to hatred.
“It is all about humanity. There shouldn’t be any fights. There is equal love on both sides. It is the political game that gives birth to hatred. You will see the same in this film as well. Janta nahi chahti ki hum ek dusre ke saath jhagde ya lade, aakhir hai toh sab isi mitti se," said Sunny Deol.
The trailer for 'Gadar 2' promises a lot of action and patriotic flavour. The 2-minute-long clip showcases how the son of Tara Singh and Sakina is captured by the Pakistani army. It is then that Sunny Deol decides to take matters into his own hand, and he travels to Lahore to bring his son back.
In the original 'Gadar', Sunny Deol had played a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar while Ameesha Patel portrayed the role of a Muslim girl hailing from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan.
'Gadar 2' is slated to release in the theatres on August 11, 2023. The movie will be going up against Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam's 'OMG 2' at the box office.
