Ever since its release, 'Adipurush' has been in a middle of a huge controversy and the makers are receiving flak for poor VFX and questionable dialogues. Hashtags like #BanAdipurush, #AdipurushDisaster, and #ShameOnOmRaut are trending on Twitter.
During an interview with Zee News, dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla was asked how the makers got the idea of including a scene showing Lord Lakshman receiving information about sanjivini booti from Vibhishan’s wife.
To this question, the writer said that there should be no questions pointed towards him about the adapted screenplay and story, and these questions need to be asked from director Om Raut.
“In the credits, it is clearly mentioned that I have penned only the dialogues and song lyrics for the film. Om Raut will give such perfect answers to all your queries that you will no longer have doubts regarding them. But for this, you will have to speak to him," he said.
“It’s teamwork and I completely trusted Om Raut. My assumption was if Om Raut extracted this story, he would have definitely had all the references," he added.
The makers of 'Adipurush' have announced that they would be changing some controversial dialogues of the film after they received flak for "distorting and disrespecting” the epic Ramayana.
'Adipurush' has collected more than Rs 100 crore in Hindi in just three days. Worldwide, the movie has grossed more than Rs 300 crore.
The movie stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in lead roles.
