Amitabh Bachchan Shares Poem By Late Father To Celebrate Indian Armed Forces Following Operation Sindoor
Amitabh Bachchan paid a special tribute to the Indian Armed Forces following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation regarding Operation Sindoor.
Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has once again used his powerful voice to honour the real heroes of the nation – the Indian Armed Forces. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address on Operation Sindoor on Monday, Big B took to X (formerly Twitter) to pay a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces who protect the country so citizens can sleep in peace. Sharing a soul-stirring poem penned by his late father, renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Big B expressed deep respect and gratitude for the armed forces and their unwavering dedication to the nation.
The poetic excerpt celebrates the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. Alongside this, he wrote, “Jai Hind... Jain Hind Ki Sena” as the caption.

In a follow-up post, Amitabh wrote, “And the words of Poojya Babuji (respected father) resound...loud and clear...and in reverberation...from every element of the Country...from every corner.”
The poem excerpt read, “Oh! The angered and dedicated Jawans of the Country...clench your teeth...stand up and move forward...upward and beyond...without giving any voice...if you have to speak...may the sound be heard of your slaps registered on the face of the enemy! In peace there's nothing so becomes a man. As modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger...”

On Monday, in his first address to the nation following Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Modi said that the operation has set a new benchmark in India's fight against terrorism.
PM Modi also referred to India conducting a surgical strike in 2016 at terror launch pads along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and to the air strikes at a terror camp in Pakistan in 2019 and said that after the two operations, Operation Sindoor is India's policy against terrorism.
For the unversed, as a part of Operation Sindoor, India conducted precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 tourists were killed.
Coming back to Amitabh Bachchan, he was last seen in the 2024 blockbuster sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Co-starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, the film minted over Rs 640 crore in India.
