"World Needed Ranbir Kapoor": Arshad Warsi Calls Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' As "Masterpiece"
'Munnabhai MBBS' actor Arshad Warsi cannot stop praising Ranbir Kapoor after watching Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in leading roles, released in theatres on December 1, and ever since its release, the new Hindi movie has been generating polarising reactions, and a certain section of audience finds the film as highly problematic and misogynistic. Despite the negative reviews, 'Animal' continues to rake in the moolah at the box office.
In the latest entertainment news, 'Munnabhai MBBS' actor Arshad Warsi has termed 'Animal' as a "masterpiece", saying Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor met because the world needed Ranbir Kapoor. For the unversed, Ranbir is the son of late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
"I saw #ANIMAL yesterday… @imvangasandeep and the film are INSANELY FANTASTIC . I think Rishiji & Neetuji met because the world needed Ranbir Kapoor. There is no boundary to this mans talent. @AnilKapoor, @iamRashmika, Bobby Deol and team ANIMAL Thank you for this masterpiece," Arshad Warsi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

For the unversed, on Day 5 (first Tuesday) of its release, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Animal' minted Rs 38.25 crore, across all languages in India, as per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk. The total five-day domestic nett total now stands at a whopping Rs 283.74 crore.
With this, 'Animal has now become the second-highest grosser of Ranbir Kapoor's career, only behind Rajkumar Hirani's 'Sanju'.
This box office performance of ‘Animal’ is huge considering it is an 'A' (adults only) film and has a runtime of more than 3 hours. ‘Animal’ also clashed with Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur' at the box office.
However, there is a constant chatter on social media about 'Animal', and how the film portrays toxic masculinity, problematic behaviour towards women. The film is also being bashed for too much violence, bloodshed and gore.
It can be safely said that 'Animal' is expected to rule the ticket counters until Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Dunki’ releases in theatres on December 21. A day later, Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ will also be releasing in theatres.
For the unversed, at the end of 'Animal', there is a post-credits scene which promises a sequel titled 'Animal Park'. Ranbir Kapoor is all set to have a double role in 'Animal 2'.
