"Phaad Diya Hai": Avinash Tiwary Reveals What Ranbir Kapoor Predicted About 'Madgaon Express'
Avinash Tiwary has revealed Ranbir Kapoor's reaction after watching Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut 'Madgaon Express'.
Director Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut 'Madgaon Express' continues to hold its ground, despite stiff competition from 'Crew' and 'Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire'. The new Hindi film which released in cinemas has so far made Rs 17.75 crore in India. This business can be considered respectable, as the film is not a big budget film with big names from Bollywood. The new Hindi movie stars talented actors like Avinash Tiwary, Divyendu Sharma and Pratik Gandhi.
In the latest entertainment news, Avinash Tiwary has revealed Ranbir Kapoor's reaction to 'Madgaon Express'.
Speaking to News18 Showsha, Avinash Tiwary said, "I was standing outside the theatre after the first screening was over. I saw Ranbir (Kapoor) walking out and coming to me with a certain energy. He hugged me and said, ‘Kya super hit film banaaya hai tum logo ne! Bas phaad diya hai."
"Don’t listen to anyone for the first two to three days because this will have longevity beyond the Mondays and the Fridays.’ I was like, ‘Really?’ He was so excited and happy for us. It just felt so nice," he added.
For the unversed, Avinash Tiwary first gained limelight after starring alongside Triptii Dimri in 'Laila Majnu'. The duo then also co-starred in Netflix's 'Bulbbul'.
“Triptii messaged me saying that she heard some amazing things about me and that she’s really happy for me. She hadn’t seen the film yet. She should see it soon! She reached out when she heard that the film is receiving a good response. I did the same when Animal happened,” said Avinash Tiwary.
“There’s a lot of respect I have for her. She’s truly one of the finest actors in this new generation of actresses. I’m so happy that we were together (professionally) in the initial part of her career. I hope we do something else and something bigger very soon," he added.
For the unversed, the screening of 'Madgaon Express' was attended by several celebrities.
“Kareena (Kapoor Khan), Malaika (Arora) and Arjun (Kapoor) surrounded me and Divyenndu and kept talking about how great the film is, how much fun they had and how they’re planning on watching it again. It was very fulfilling to see this kind of a reaction,” said Avinash Tiwary.
“I want to reach out to everyone who keeps messaging me that they regret not watching Laila Majnu in theatres. Madgaon Express is also very nice film too. If Laila Majnu made them cry a lot, this one will make them laugh a lot. They shouldn’t regret not watching it,” he added.
