Bhumika Chawla Says She “Felt Bad” About Not Being Invited To ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ For ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ Promotions
Bhumika Chawla opened up on not being invited to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ for the promotion of her recently released movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ marked his first main role after the 2021 Bollywood movie ‘Radhe’. Naturally, the excitement for the new Hindi Bollywood movie was extremely high. ‘KKBKKJ’, which marked the Bollywood debuts of Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill, also reunited Bhumika Chawla with Salman Khan after their hit film ‘Tere Naam’. ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ was extensively promoted before its release. A few cast members of the movie also visited the sets of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ for its promotions.
However, Bhumika Chawla was not seen at the ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ for the promotions of ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. She recently opened up about her absence on the comedy talk show and said that she “felt bad” for not being invited on ‘TKSS’.
The ‘Tere Naam’ actress revealed that she had no idea about when the episode was shot either. But added that it could have been a strategy as only younger couples were called to the show.
In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Bhumika Chawla said, “I felt a little bad but then I got over it. I know that appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show is not getting me another film.”
The actress recalled that someone in her building asked her why she wasn’t on The Kapil Sharma Show and she responded that she didn’t even know that the special episode was shot. “But they must have had some strategy,” she said.
The actress added, “Then I thought Venkatesh Sir was not there. Venky Sir and I are a couple in the movie. There were three couples on the show, they’re all youngsters, they have a different equation. If I want to do PR, I can. If I am guaranteed a film then I would call Kapil Sharma today and ask him to call me. I did my calculation (and wondered) if I would be offered a film if I appeared there. If those people, with whom I want to work, would they call? Would Bhansali call me?”
The cast of ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ was extensively involved in promoting the film but Bhumika Chawla was nowhere to be seen.
When asked about the same, Bhumika said that this could only be answered by Salman Khan’s team. “I don’t want to get into it,” the actress said.
“Because there were so many people in this film, and they might have had a PR strategy. Somewhere, you have to give the benefit of doubt. Before doubting someone, you should give the benefit of doubt,” she added.
Talking about ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, the action entertainer is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films.
The film stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar.
The new Hindi Bollywood movie has been bashed left, right and centre by critics, while the audience has given a mixed review to the latest Hindi movie, with some calling it "paisa vasool", while others have termed it as a "disaster".
