Nawazuddin Siddiqui has made a shocking revelation, saying he was dragged out by the collar.

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has revealed that he would often be disrespected by film crews and producers when he started out fresh in the industry and was doing small roles in whatever projects he could bag. For the unversed, the actor struggled quite a bit before bagging Anurag Kashyap's 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. Now in the latest entertainment news, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has revealed that he would not be given water even after asking the spot boy.

“Of course, thousands of times. Sometimes on set, I would ask the spot boy for water, and he’d completely ignore me. Then you’d have to get it yourself. A lot of productions here segregate the cast and crew during meal times. Junior artists eat separately, the supporting artists have their own space, and the main leads are also separated," Nawazuddin Siddiqui said in an interview with BBC Hindi.

“On some productions, and I have to credit Yash Raj Films for also doing this, everybody eats together. But a lot of production houses make divisions. I would often try to eat where the main leads were eating, but I’d be dragged out by the collar. I was ego-driven, and I would get angry; I thought actors should be given more respect. And sometimes they’d let me through," he added.

In the interview, the actor also said that he was not paid for working on the Fardeen Khan and Suniel Shetty-starrer film 'Jungle', which was directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in romantic-comedy 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra' which also starred Neha Sharma in the lead role.

The new Hindi movie, however, tanked at the box office, after not finding many takers.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was recently embroiled in a controversy after his comments on depression and mental health were not taken too well on social media.
