“Nice Message For India And Pakistan”: Hema Malini Praises Sunny Deol And Ameesha Patel’s ‘Gadar 2’
Hema Malini recently watched Sunny Deol’s new Hindi movie 'Gadar 2' and couldn't stop praising it while talking to the paps.
‘Gadar 2’, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma, has been grabbing headlines ever since the movie was announced. And gained more limelight after Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel promoted the new Hindi movie extensively. The sequel to the 2001 hit film, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, released in theatres on August 11 and has been receiving immense love from the audience. The new Hindi movie, directed by Anil Sharma, has also been performing extraordinarily well at the box office. It has so far minted Rs 377 crore, shattering several box office records.
While many moviegoers and celebrities have already praised Sunny Deol's film and his performance in it, the latest to review 'Gadar 2' is veteran actress and Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini.
Over the weekend, Hema Malini stepped out to watch the new Hindi movie.
In a new video shared by Varinder Chawla on Instagram, Hema Malini spoke to the paps about how much she enjoyed watching ‘Gadar 2’. She also praised Sunny Deol’s performance in the film and said it packed a “nice message” for India and Pakistan.

In the video, Hema Malini said, “Gadar dekh kar aayi hun. Bahut hi accha laga. Jo expected tha waise hi tha. Bahut hi interesting hai. Aisa lag raha tha ki 70s aur 80s ka us zamane ka film ke jaesa ek daur hai. Us daur ko leke aaye hai. Anil Sharma ji ne bahut beautiful direction kiya hai.”
She further spoke about the new Hindi movie’s cast and said, “Sunny is superb. Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji's son unhone ne bhi bahut sundar acting kiya hai. Aur jo nayi ladki jo hai vo bhi bahut acchi hai.”
“Aur ye picture dekh kar ekdum rashtra ke prati jo bhav hone chahiye, patriotism, vo bahut hi hai. Muslim ke prati jo bhaichara hona chahiye, us vishay ko last mein lekar aaye hain. It's a nice message for India and Pakistan,” Hema Malini concluded.
Recently, Hema Malini's daughter Esha Deol held a special screening for ‘Gadar 2’. It was attended by both her half-brothers Sunny and Bobby Deol. They also posed together for pictures.
Talking about ‘Gadar 2’, the Anil Sharma directorial is inching closer to Rs 400 crore mark. ‘Gadar 2’ is the sequel to the 2001 hit ‘Gadar’.
In ‘Gadar 2’, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma have reprised their roles of Tara Singh, Sakeena and Jeete, respectively. The film was released on August 11 and clashed with Akshay Kumar's ‘OMG 2’ at the box office.
‘Gadar 2’ is set in 1971 and follows Tara Singh's (Sunny Deol) journey to Pakistan to rescue his son, Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma).
