Her nuanced performance in the critically acclaimed film, which was India’s official entry to the Oscars 2025, thrust her into the spotlight and won her praise. Now, the young actress is back in the news – not for a role, but for a gesture that’s winning even more admiration. At a recent fashion show in Mumbai, Nitanshi paused her ramp walk to touch Hema Malini’s feet and warmly hugged Sushmita Sen.
At the fashion show, Nitanshi Goel paused her show-stopping walk to touch Hema Malini’s feet and seek her blessings. Nitanshi then also shared a warm hug with former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen.
Hema Malini was seated in the front row and she seemed visibly moved when Nitanshi Goel bent down to touch her feet. She smiled and placed her hand on her chest, acknowledging Nitanshi's thoughtful gesture.
Nitanshi then walked over to greet Sushmita Sen, who was also seated near the runway. The duo shared a warm hug and exchanged a few words. Sushmita then clapped enthusiastically once Nitanshi resumed her walk. The video of the interaction is going insanely viral on social media.

Speaking of ‘Laapataa Ladies’, the film tells the story about two brides in rural India in 2021, who get accidently swapped during a train journey.
The Hindi film is produced by Kiran Rao's Kindling Productions and Aamir Khan Productions. The movie, released in cinemas in March 2024, also starred Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastav in the lead roles alongside Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma.
‘Laapataa Ladies’ was India's official entry for Oscars 2025. However, the film failed to make the cut for final set of nominations for Best Foreign Language Film.
