Save The Date! Hrithik Roshan And Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’ Set To Release In 2025, Check Details Inside
‘War 2’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, has finally got a release date.
India’s Spyverse – YRF Spy Universe – has an exciting lineup of films. After Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi’s new Hindi movie ‘Tiger 3’ was released, fans have been eagerly waiting for Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’. The spy thriller is already in the production stage, and the first schedule was wrapped up in Spain in October. The anticipation for ‘War 2’ has skyrocketed after it was teased with a glimpse of Hrithik Roshan in the post-credits scene of ‘Tiger 3’. While we got a glimpse of Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR wasn't introduced.
Now, the makers of ‘War 2’ have finalised the release date for the upcoming movie. And it feels like a long wait because the movie is not releasing next year.
‘War 2’, which will mark Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s first collaboration, will be released in theatres on August 14, 2025. Given it is a Thursday, the upcoming film will enjoy a four-day holiday weekend.
Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the release date of ‘War 2’ on X (formerly Twitter).

In ‘War 2’, Hrithik Roshan will be reprising his character, Kabir. The super spy will be pitted against Jr NTR, who is reportedly playing the antagonist in the film. As per Pinkvilla, Kiara Advani has been roped in for the film. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement.
The upcoming action-packed film is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his directorial ventures like ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Brahmastra: Part One -- Shiva’.
The movie is being produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. ‘War 2’ is the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe after ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Tiger 3’. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will also be starring in YRF's ambitious project 'Tiger Vs Pathaan'.
‘War’, which released in October 2019, also starred Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. In ‘War’, Hrithik Roshan essayed the role of rogue RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal and Tiger Shroff was his protégé Khalid Rahmani.
The film was directed by Siddharth Anand and turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of 2019 with collection of over Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan will be next seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ with Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. Jr NTR will next star in Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara’, which also features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
