When the director was asked what would he message any other celebrity, if he were to be Salman Khan, KJo replied, "I would message Shah Rukh Khan and say that it's just us."

For the unversed, SRK's 'Pathaan' featured a scene in which the actor was seen discussing with Salman Khan on how there is no young actor in the industry who can improve the current state of the Hindi film industry and they will only have to do it.

When Ananya Panday asked Karan Johar whom he’d cast in Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi’s roles if he were to remake 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' 35 years later, Karan Johar said, “Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.”

Lastly, when Ananya Panday quizzed Karan Johar on what would he do if he woke up as her once morning, the director replied, "I would have left two films I did."

On the work front, Karan Johar made his directorial comeback to the big screen with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which marked his return after a gap of seven years.
