Karan Johar Trolled For Not Mentioning Arijit Singh’s Name In Heartfelt Post As ‘Tum Kya Mile’ Song Releases
Arijit Singh’s fans criticised Karan Johar after he did not mention the singer’s name in his post on ‘Tum Kya Mile’ song.
Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is one of the highly anticipated films of the year. While the teaser of the film and the teaser of the movie’s first song ‘Tum Kya Mile’ were well-received by fans, several people criticised KJo for skipping Arijit Singh’s name while sharing a heartfelt post about ‘Tum Kya Mile’ song. Ahead of the ‘Tum Kya Mile’ song’s release, the film’s director shared an extensive post dedicated to his “guru” Yash Chopra.
Sharing a still from ‘Tum Kya Mile’ song, featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar went on to share that the song is a tribute to the director-producer Yash Chopra.
He also thanked several people in the post, leaving out the names of the track’s singers -- Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.

Karan Johar skipping Arijit Singh’s name in his post talking about ‘Tum Kya Mile’ song left several of the singer’s fans miffed, who slammed KJo for the same.
One fan wrote, “You should use the most talented singer in the world are @arjitsing you truly know this song hit only arjit-sing.”
Another one added, “You missed @arijitsingh, without his voice this song can’t be sound like this !!! His voice with Pritam da music is pure gold.”
“Should have mentioned Arijit as well,” another one commented.
A social media user wrote, “Did you intentionally miss Arijit Singh's name????”
Another one asked, “Why do you not mention Arijit Singh?”
Karan Johar was also previously trolled for not crediting Shreya Ghoshal in the teaser of the song. On Tuesday, KJo posted a video on his Instagram account, announcing the release date of the romantic song.
The video had no mention of Shreya Ghoshal, who lent her voice for Alia Bhatt in ‘Tum Kya Mile’ song. It only featured the text which read, “The Dream Team — Karan Johar, Pritam, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Arijit Singh."
‘Tum Kya Mile’ song, which released on Wednesday, is a tribute to the lavish romantic dramas of Yash Chopra, which featured memorable musical sequences shot in beautiful locations.
‘Tum Kya Mile’ song has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh. It has been composed by Pritam and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. The lyrics for the track have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Filmed in Kashmir, the track is a perfect throwback to the days of chiffon sarees and overcoats. Both Alia and Ranveer have multiple costume changes throughout the track as they sing about their love for each other on snowclad mountains.
