Kareena Kapoor lit up a Dubai event with a surprise performance on ‘Chammak Challo’, leaving fans stunned by her ageless charm and killer moves.
It may have been nearly 14 years since ‘Ra.One’ hit theatres, but Kareena Kapoor just proved that some things never go out of style. At an event in Dubai on Sunday, the actress took fans on a nostalgic trip back to 2011 as she broke into the iconic ‘Chammak Challo’ dance, and the internet can’t stop talking about it. The event, hosted by a jewellery brand, saw Kareena sharing the stage with the emcee.
With the crowd cheering her on, she matched the energy of her 2011 self and flawlessly performed the signature hook step from the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer. Short clips from the night quickly went viral, dominating social media timelines.

Fans were all praises for the actress, especially for how effortlessly she carried herself. One user wrote, “She is ageing like fine wine.”

‘Chammak Challo’, a vibrant dance number from ‘Ra.One’, was composed by Vishal-Shekhar and marked Akon's Bollywood singing debut, with Hamsika Iyer and Blaaze also contributing vocals.
While the track was picturised on Kareena and Shah Rukh, fans were quick to recall the quirky trivia — that it was actually Arjun Rampal’s villainous Ra.One, disguised as Kareena, who was seen dancing in that scene. Social media had its fun with that detail, with one fan joking, “How she knows steps. Film ma tu arjun rampal nach rha tha.”
Another user wrote, “But it was arjun rampal na.. who was dancing.”
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, ‘Ra.One’ was a sci-fi action spectacle that featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. The film’s plot revolved around Shekhar Subramanium, a video game designer who creates an artificial intelligence-based game where the antagonist, Ra. One, is more powerful than the protagonist, G.One.
‘Ra. One’ received mixed reviews from critics with praise for its visual effects, action sequences, and SRK’s performance, but criticism for its screenplay and pacing. The film performed decently at the box office, grossing approximately Rs 207 crores worldwide.
As for Kareena, she was last seen in ‘Singham Again’ (2024). Directed by Rohit Shetty, the action entertainer also starred Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
The actress has announced her next project titled ‘Daayra’. It will mark her first collaboration with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The upcoming film will be directed by Meghna Gulzar, who last helmed ‘Sam Bahadur’, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sanya Malhotra.
