'Koffee With Karan 8': Karan Johar has reacted to trolls, who have been attacking the episode featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made their presence felt in the first episode of 'Koffee With Karan 8'. The 1-hour-9-minutes-long episode has garnered mixed reviews, and both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have also been subjected to trolling on social media. For the unversed, Ranveer and Deepika faced a barrage of online trolling due to the latter's revelations about their open relationship when they first started dating each other.
Deepika Padukone said that there was no "real commitment" between them and the duo was "technically allowed" to see other people until Ranveer and her got engaged.
These revelations did not go down well with netizens, as they questioned the morality of this arrangement.
In the latest entertainment news, Karan Johar, who is the host of 'Koffee With Karan', addressed the trolling directed at the episode.
During the Instagram Live session, KJo said, "Do what you need to do because no one’s looking. Trolling gets you nowhere. You are landing nowhere."
Talking about the episode featuring Ranveer and Deepika, the latter had said, "I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships. I was going through a phase where I said, ‘I just don’t want to be attached, don’t want to be committed.’ And I had fun. And then he comes along, so I didn’t ‘commit commit’, until he proposed to me. There was no ‘commitment as such. Even if we were technically allowed to see other people, we would just keep coming back to each other.”
For the unversed, this was Ranveer and Deepika's first appearance on the chat show.
Deepika and Ranveer also won over fans as the duo released their wedding video for the first time.
