Kareena Kapoor Talks About Her “Universe” Saif Ali Khan, Recalls Her Favourite Memory Of Him
Kareena Kapoor Khan recently shared her first memory of Saif Ali Khan and got teary-eyed as she spoke about her “universe”.
Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, who are one of the most loved celebrity couples, started dating in 2007 and have been together for 16 years now. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are proud parents to sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan aka Jeh. On the latest episode of Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’, Saif Ali Khan and his mother-veteran actress Sharmila Tagore appeared as guests. Kareena, who featured in a previous episode of ‘KWK 8’ with Ali Bhatt, appeared in a video on the latest episode of the show.
In the video, Kareena Kapoor Khan spoke about her love for Saif Ali Khan and also recalled her favourite memory of him.
Talking about her husband, Kareena Kapoor said, “What does Saif mean to me? Saif is my entire being, my entire universe, my whole life revolves around my Saif.”
‘My eyes well up every time I talk about him because he is my life,” Kareena said as she got emotional.
Kareena Kapoor then recalled her favourite memory of her husband Saif Ali Khan and shared, “My favourite memory will always be the first time I met Saif. Because he was sitting on top of a makeup vanity van in Ladakh without his t-shirt and I was like ‘who is that guy who is sitting on top of a vanity van?’ and they were like ‘it’s Saif’ and I looked closer and I was like ‘my god, that’s Saif’. That was the moment I lost my mind and that was it.”
The Bollywood actress also spoke about Sharmila Tagore and said that she called her ‘Amma’ ever since she met Saif Ali Khan.
“I have called her Amma from the time I met Saif because I genuinely feel that connection and love for her because she has been so warm, so caring,” she said.
Kareena Kapoor added, “I think she looks at me more like a daughter, like Soha and Saba. It’s always been like that. She has always made me feel welcome.”
Sharmila Tagore, who spoke about Saif Ali Khan’s first wife Amrita Singh in the latest ‘KWK 8’ episode, was asked if she had any apprehensions when Kareena Kapoor came into his life.
“There was a little gap and Kareena, I had known earlier,” she said.
Describing Kareena Kapoor as “lovely”, Sharmila Tagore said, “She was with us when Tiger was ill. She was with us when Tiger passed away.”
She then recalled an incident where Kareena Kapoor, in the company of Sharmila Tagore’s friends from Delhi, stated that she and Saif Ali Khan were living together and this impressed Sharmila Tagore.
The veteran actress compared it to the time when she was in a live-in relationship with Tiger Pataudi but dared not state it in front of people.
“Even when I think about it, I laugh that how simple and sorted she is. She is so direct,” she said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently riding high on the success of Netflix’s ‘Jaane Jaan’.
The Bollywood actress will be next seen in Hansal Mehta’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’. She will play a detective in the movie.
Kareena is also working on Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’, which boasts of an ensemble cast including actors Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff among others.
Kareena Kapoor Khan also has Rhea Kapoor’s ‘The Crew’ in the pipeline. Saif Ali Khan, on the other hand, will be next seen in Kortala Siva's ‘Devara’.
