Mahesh Bhatt seemingly ignored a question on Pooja Bhatt, when he was seen outside the screening of Alia Bhatt’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
The Bhatt step sisters, Alia and Pooja, are currently making headlines. Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her Bollywood film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ co-starring Ranveer Singh. Meanwhile, Pooja Bhatt is in the limelight for her stint in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’. While Alia Bhatt is currently one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood, Pooja Bhatt has also enjoyed her fair share of popularity and success. Recently, their father Mahesh Bhatt briefly interacted with the paparazzi at the premiere of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
Mahesh Bhatt attended the special screening of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ with his wife Soni Razdan on Wednesday evening in Mumbai. Several videos and photos from the screening are going viral on the internet. In a video shared by Pinkvilla, Mahesh Bhatt can be seen dodging a question about Pooja Bhatt’s game in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’.

When a pap caught Mahesh Bhatt exiting the screening, he avoided a question on Pooja Bhatt and instead chose to comment on daughter Alia Bhatt's performance in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
The filmmaker responded with, ''Main abhi Alia Bhatt ka fan hu." He also went on to give a positive review to Alia Bhatt's new film, calling it “Bahut kamaal ki.”
Soon after the video went viral on Instagram, several social media users flooded the post’s comment section and reacted to it. Some called Mahesh Bhatt “rude” and “partial”.
One user said, “What a horrid response!”
Another one added, “Why this discrimination inbetween two own daughters?”
A third one commented, “That's rude and partial.”
A user also said, “How rude mahesh bhatt we dont like this answer.”
“Shabash what a great father. Such a role model. He doesn't know how to talk about his daughters even,” a comment on the post read.
Another one said, “That's rude!”
Alia Bhatt’s new Hindi movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ marks Karan Johar's return on the big screen as a director after seven years.
In ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, Karan Johar reunites not only with Alia Bhatt, who made her acting debut as a lead in his 2012 film ‘Student of the Year’, but also with Jaya Bachchan, who appeared in his 2001 directorial ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.
The film also marks Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s reunion after Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ (2019).
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which also stars Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly, will be released on July 28.
Meanwhile, ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ premiered on June 17 on Jio Cinema. Currently, the contestants in the house are Pooja Bhatt, Bebika Dhurve, Abhishek Malhan, Avinash Sachdev, Jiya Shankar, Manisha Rani, Jad Hadid, Elvish Yadav and Aashika Bhatia.
Pooja Bhatt has steadily made her own mark on the show by actively participating in all the matters of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.
