'OMG 2' Teaser: Akshay Kumar Wows As Lord Shiva, Comes To Pankaj Tripathi's Rescue
'OMG 2' teaser is out, and Akshay Kumar absolutely stole the show as Lord Shiva.
The wait is over as the teaser for much-anticipated 'OMG 2' has been unveiled. Akshay Kumar returns to the franchise, 11 years after the original 'OMG – Oh My God' released in theatres. For the unversed, Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Lord Shiva in the new Hindi movie. In the first installment, Paresh Rawal had played an important role, however, he has been replaced by Pankaj Tripathi in the new Hindi movie.
'OMG 2' also stars Yami Gautam and Arun Govil in vital roles.
In the first 'OMG', Paresh Rawal had played a role of an atheist who ends up believing in god. However, in the new Hindi movie, Pankaj Tripathi would be playing a character who is a firm believer of god.
"Ishwar hai ya nahi, iska praman insaan aastik ya nastik hokar de sakta hai, par bhagwaan apne banaye hue bando par kabhi bhed nahi karta," says Pankaj Tripathi in the teaser.
"Fir chahe wo naastik Kanji Lalji Mehta (Paresh Rawal) ho ya fir aastik Kaanti Sharan (Pankaj Tripathi)," he added.
It is then that Akshay Kumar's character emerges from the water.
"Rakh vishwas, tu hai Shiv ka das," says the character of Akshay Kumar.

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar had played the role of Lord Krishna in the 2012-film 'OMG: Oh My God'.
'OMG 2' will be releasing in theatres on August 11. Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' will be clashing with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's 'Gadar 2' at the box office.
Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Selfiee' alongside Emraan Hashmi, and the movie had tanked at the box office.
