Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha tied the knot on Sunday in Udaipur. Here’s how Parineeti Chopra expressed her love for her husband through her bridal attire.
Bollywood weddings have been trendsetters, serving as ultimate fashion inspiration by adding personal touches or breaking away from stereotypes. Celebrities make several efforts to look stunning on their wedding day with their attires meticulously prepared down to the last detail, and a customised personal touch is included to make it even more memorable and special. Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra followed the ongoing trend of pocketing personalised details in her wedding look too by adding some of the beautiful details from her relationship with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha.
Earlier today, Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram and finally shared the first photos from her dreamy wedding ceremony with Raghav Chadha. As their beautiful photos rule social media, we decided to take a closer look at Parineeti Chopra’s wedding look, trying to decode her bridal attire.
Parineeti Chopra skipped on the classic vermillion red and chose a stunning beige and golden-coloured. Parineeti Chopra expressed her love for her husband by donning a long veil with Raghav's name embroidered in Hindi. Manish Malhotra, who designed Parineeti Chopra’s beautiful golden and cream-coloured lehenga, shared details about her bridal veil on Instagram.
Parineeti Chopra’s lehenga set featured a heavily embellished, deep-neck, elbow-sleeved blouse adorned with pearls, paired with a matching embellished lehenga with geometric motifs over it. She paired the lehenga with beige net dupatta adorned with crystals and pearls along the border.
Besides her diamond and emerald jewellery, Parineeti Chopra added a more detailed accessory to her wedding look, with a pair of custom-made kaliras.
For her kaliras, Parineeti Chopra trusted the popular, Mrinalini Chandra, who made the bespoke design for her. Mrinalini Chandra also shared the details about the beautiful kaliras on Instagram.
Mrinalini Chandra told News18 that designing the bespoke kaliras, choodhas and lehenga latkans took her three months to create.
According to Mrinalini Chandra, the kaliras beautifully captured Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s relationship. The personalised elements included the duo’s initials, Om sign in hindi, a gramophone, an airplane, a coffee cup, a hand-folded sign, a cupcake, a double-decker bus, etc. The bespoke motifs inspired from their love story were added to the lehenga latkans as well.
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha tied the knot at The Leela Palace in Udaipur on Sunday. They took pheras in the presence of their family members, close friends and politicians including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
For the wedding reception that took place on Sunday evening, Raghav wore a black tuxedo and Parineeti decked up in a pink sequined saree.
The couple will now have a wedding reception in Chandigarh on September 30.
