Preity Zinta seemed heartbroken after Punjab Kings lost to RCB in IPL 2025.

While joy erupted in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) camp as the team finally lifted its first IPL trophy, it was heartbreak for Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings. The 36-year-old Virat Kohli ended his long wait in style, as RCB clinched a thrilling six-run win in the IPL 2025 final at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. While celebrations in the RCB dugout lit up the cameras, it was hard to ignore the pain of defeat – especially for the Punjab Kings squad and the team’s ever-passionate co-owner, Preity Zinta, who watched their dream slip away yet again.

As soon as the final ball was delivered by Australia's Josh Hazlewood, Preity Zinta’s face painted a sorry picture as she was seen visibly heartbroken.

Preity Zinta was seen walking off the field with a dejected look on her face. Her eyes also seemed to swell up with emotion. For the IPL final, she was dressed in a white kurta with a red dupatta and salwar.

The Punjab Kings co-owner, however, went up to her players, including captain Shreyas Iyer to console and offer words of comfort. The images of Preity Zinta looking heartbroken are being widely shared on social media. Fans have now come out in support of the Bollywood actress, saying she too deserves to win the IPL trophy.

Preity Zinta was seen in the stands for all Punjab Kings games in the IPL 2025 season. She had been constantly cheering for the team.

Punjab Kings progressed to just their second IPL final after beating Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2. However, in the summit clash against RCB, PBKS failed to get going and the side couldn't chase down 191.

Speaking of Preity Zinta, she was last seen in ‘Bhaiaji Superhit’, which released in 2018. She also featured in a small role in ABC series ‘Fresh Off The Boat’ in one episode.

She will be next seen opposite Sunny Deol in the upcoming film ‘Lahore 1947’, produced under Aamir Khan Productions. It will also star Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal.

The film was officially announced last October, garnering attention for its star-studded cast and promising storyline.

On the personal front, Preity Zinta married Gene Goodenough in 2016 and moved to Los Angeles. The couple welcomed twins via surrogacy in 2021.
