In an era where grand-scale mythological epics are reclaiming space on the big screen, ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ stands tall as one of the most ambitious Indian projects in recent years. Helmed by director Nitesh Tiwari, the film recently wrapped its shoot, marking a milestone moment for the cast and crew. A behind-the-scenes video from the final day has now gone viral, offering fans a glimpse into the emotional wrap-up and the deep camaraderie shared on set.

The clip showed Ranbir Kapoor, who will feature as Lord Ram, delivering a heartfelt speech during the wrap up ceremony. Surrounded by the team, Ranbir Kapoor expressed immense gratitude and called the role of Lord Ram the most significant of his career. Beside him stood Ravi Dubey, who will essay the role of Lakshman, visibly emotional as Ranbir Kapoor thanked his co-stars, including Sai Pallavi, Yash, and others, for their dedication and contribution to the film.

 

In another video shared from the sets of the film, Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Dubey can be seen celebrating the movie’s completion with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony alongside the cast and crew.

 

Director Nitesh Tiwari also took a moment to address his team, delivering a moving speech that received thunderous applause. A standout moment from the wrap celebration was Ranbir and Ravi sharing a warm hug, highlighting the bond the actors forged while portraying the revered brothers of Indian mythology.

For the unversed, ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ boasts a stellar ensemble: Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. With the film’s scale amplified by Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG, expectations are sky-high for this visually immersive retelling of the epic.

The film is being released in two parts, with ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ scheduled to hit theatres during Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment in Diwali 2027.

Along with ‘Ramayana’, Ranbir Kapoor will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic drama ‘Love And War’ alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. It is also slated to release in cinemas next year.

He will also reprise his role of Rannvijay Singh in ‘Animal Park’, the sequel to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 blockbuster ‘Animal’.
