Every new film comes with various experiences and opportunities to try out new things. The actors always put their best foot forward and leave no stone unturned to get into their characters. Some work on their physiques for a specific role, while others master a new skill or a new look. And, looks like Ranbir Kapoor is also charged up for his role in the upcoming film ‘Ramayana’. Ranbir Kapoor, who delivered the biggest hit of his career in the form of the 2023 Hindi movie ‘Animal’, has now started prepping for his next film.

The Bollywood actor has begun training to get into the right shape for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the upcoming screen adaptation of Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari of ‘Dangal’ and ‘Chhichhore’ fame, the upcoming film is set to go on floors later this year.

As per reports, Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita in the film, which will feature ‘KGF’ star Yash as Ravan.

In a new picture that has now surfaced online, Ranbir Kapoor was seen performing a headstand in the gym. The picture was posted by his trainer Nam on Instagram. The trainer used hashtags like “Ramayan”, “new skill” and “prep,” conforming that Ranbir Kapoor is indeed training for the big role.

In another post on X (formerly Twitter), a user claimed that Ranbir Kapoor met an archery coach for training and shared a picture of the duo, with arrows being visible on his table.

The film based on Ramayana is expected to be announced next month, with the makers targeting a Diwali 2025 release date.

The adaptation of Ramayana is being co-produced by Nitesh Tiwari, Madhu Mantena, Namit Malhotra, and Allu Aravind.

Ranbir Kapoor will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’. The period drama will also star Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

The Bollywood actor also has Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra 2’ and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ‘Animal Park’ in the pipeline.
