Ranbir Kapoor Will Be Back In Double Role! Sandeep Reddy Vanga And T-Series Announce Sequel ‘Animal Park’
Sandeep Reddy Vanga and T-Series have announced 'Animal Park' after the massive success of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’.
Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Triptii Dimri-starrer 'Animal' turned out to be one of the most successful movies of 2023 as the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial collected more than Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office. Despite being severely criticised for glorifying toxic masculinity and misogyny, the new Hindi movie continues to make money at the box office. It is important to note that ‘Animal’ is minting money while facing competition from Vicky Kaushal’s new Hindi movie ‘Sam Bahadur’, which released alongside the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial on December 1.
'Animal' also had a post credits scene, teasing a sequel titled 'Animal Park', in which Ranbir Kapoor would potentially have a double role. Fans were desperately waiting for the confirmation of the sequel and now production house T-Series has confirmed the development.
T-Series has announced that they are collaborating with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for three films -- 'Animal Park', Prabhas' starrer 'Spirit' and one film with Allu Arjun.
"It's a partnership built on trust, fueled by creative freedom, and fortified by an unbreakable bond. Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director #SandeepReddyVanga unveil the next cinematic wonders—Prabhas' Spirit, Animal Park, and an Allu Arjun saga—the chapters that follow the monumental success of Kabir Singh and #Animal," T-Series' handle wrote on Instagram.

Talking about the post-credits scene of 'Animal', a character named Aziz ends up taking a vow to take revenge for the death of his brother Abrar played by Bobby Deol. As the post credits scene start playing, it is shown that Aziz looks exactly like Vijay (Ranbir Kapoor). We are then told that Aziz has gotten a plastic surgery done to look exactly like the character played by Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Animal’.
As the end credits start rolling, we see Aziz, who has now started looking exactly like Vijay (Ranbir), enter a room with two butcher knives in his hands. He then asks Triptii Dimri’s character whether he looks like Vijay now. Aziz then ends up beating two of Vijay’s men and their blood splashes on his face.
As soon as the scene is done, the text on the screen reads "Animal Park" along with "visit soon", and this clearly indicates towards a sequel. So, we can assume that if there is next part on the way, then the plot would be around the showdown between Aziz and Vijay, where both characters will be played by Ranbir Kapoor.
Talking about 'Animal', the total domestic box office collection stands at Rs 517.94 crore and it just needs Rs 8 crore more to go past the lifetime collection of 'Gadar 2'.
This box office collection of 'Animal' can be seen as massive, looking at its 'A' (adults only certificate), runtime of more than 3 hours), and a box office clash with Vicky Kaushal-fronted 'Sam Bahadur'.
