For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor is also rumoured to be playing Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'.
Talking about 'Adipurush', Prabhas is playing Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon is essaying the role of Sita while Saif Ali Khan is portraying Raavan (Lankesh).
Earlier, the makers of 'Adipurush' had officially confirmed that the new Hindi movie would be having its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13.
The 'Adipurush' teaser came out last year, however, it did not meet expectations as netizens slammed the makers for questionable VFX effects.
‘Adipurush’ had earlier courted controversy, including boycott calls, when many objected to the depiction of Hindu deities and inferior quality of visual effects in the teaser of the film launched in October.
The magnum opus, slated to hit the theatres in IMAX and 3D, will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
