Ranveer Singh To Start Shooting For ‘Shaktimaan’ After Wrapping ‘Don 3’: Report
Ranveer Singh, who will next be seen in ‘Singham Again’, will begin working on ‘Shaktimaan’ after wrapping ‘Don 3’.
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who was last seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s 2023 Hindi movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, is known for his impeccable acting prowess and eclectic fashion sense. Making his Bollywood debut with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, Ranveer Singh went on to deliver memorable performances in films like ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, and more. He will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’, co-starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone.
After ‘Singham Again’, Ranveer Singh will star in ‘Don 3’, directed by Farhan Akhtar. And he has reportedly also been roped in to play Shaktimaan. As per a recent Pinkvilla report, Ranveer Singh will play the main role in the Basil Joseph directorial.
The movie is said to go on floors in May 2025. A source close to the Bollywood actor told Pinkvilla, “Ranveer will undergo workshops to get into the part of Don. He considers this film as a big responsibility as he will be the third generation of Don after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Farhan is targeting to take Don 3 on floors from August/September 2024.”
‘Don 3’ will be shot in India and abroad over a period of seven months and is expected to wrap up by March 2025.
“Right after Don 3, it's time for Shaktimaan. The film has been in the writing stage for over 3 years now and the team has finally cracked a script that's worthy of doing justice to the legacy of Shaktimaan. The film will be directed by Basil Joseph, with Sony Pictures India and Sajid Nadiadwala as the producers,” Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh recently collaborated with adult star Johnny Sins for an advertisement of a sexual wellness brand.
On the film front, Ranveer Singh last starred in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which went on to collect over Rs 350 crore worldwide.
While Ranveer Singh's ‘Singham Again’ will release in August 2024, ‘Don 3’ is touted to be a big 2025 release with ‘Shaktimaan’ expected to be released in 2026.
