The trailer of ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is finally out.

The much-awaited trailer of ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ has finally dropped, promising a rollercoaster of emotions, drama, and plenty of laughter. At its core, the story is a battle of exes, where Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s characters fake being in love in an attempt to make their former partners – played by Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra – jealous. The trailer was unveiled on Monday in Mumbai with much fanfare, attended by the lead stars.

Check out the trailer here:

The trailer introduces Varun as Sunny, who is hopelessly in love and planning to propose to Ananya, played by Sanya Malhotra. Meanwhile, Janhvi’s Tulsi is still reeling from her breakup with Vikram (Rohit Saraf). Things spiral when they discover that Ananya and Vikram have not only left them but are also preparing to marry each other. Determined to win their exes back, Sunny and Tulsi hatch a mischievous plan – pretend to be in a relationship to make their former partners jealous and second-guess their choices.

What follows is chaos wrapped in humour, romance, and drama. From catty clashes and heated confrontations to seething jealousy, their plan stirs up more trouble than expected. Along the way, sparks fly in unexpected directions, with Sunny and Tulsi slowly developing genuine feelings for one another.

One of the trailer’s standout moments is a cheeky exchange between Varun and Janhvi’s characters, where they argue about who is more middle class. Varun claims he receives Rs 50,000 as a salary from his father, only for Janhvi to counter with Rs 25,000. Varun then quips, “Tu middle-class nahi, lower middle-class hai.” Their playful banter, coupled with over-the-top dance numbers and dramatic wedding sequences, adds to the film’s charm.

The trailer is loaded with humour, romance, and grandeur – from quirky one-liners and light-hearted pretence to elaborate wedding festivities. In a meta moment, Varun even references his father David Dhawan’s ‘Raja Babu’ while composing a witty romantic poem.

‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ marks the third instalment of Dharma Productions’ beloved Dulhania franchise, previously headlined by Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’.

This time, the film pairs Varun with Janhvi. Maniesh Paul, Akshay Oberoi, and Abhinav Sharma are also a part of the film. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Adar Poonawalla, and Khaitan, the film hits theatres on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra.

The release is especially crucial for Varun Dhawan, who is in need of a box-office hit after recent disappointment like ‘Baby John’. His last major success was 2022’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. Janhvi Kapoor, meanwhile, was last seen in ‘Param Sundari’, which earned moderate success.
