“T 4623- Eh Twitter Bhaiya, sun rahe hai? Ab to paisa bhi bhar diya hai hum, oh jo neel kamal hota hai na humare naam ke aage, uh to wapis laga de bhaiya. Taaki log jaan jaye ki hum he hai Amitabh Bachchan, haath to jod liye rahe hum. Ab kya godwa joda padi ka," tweeted the megastar.

However, it seems Amitabh Bachchan's call for help was listened to by Twitter authorities as his blue tick has finally been restored.

It costs USD 11 a month through an in-app payment on iOS and Android.

Earlier, it was announced that Twitter will be removing the verified check-mark status of accounts that the platform had verified as notable before the Elon Musk takeover.

"On April 1st, we will begin winding down our legacy verified program and removing legacy verified checkmarks. To keep your blue checkmark on Twitter, individuals can sign up for Twitter Blue," the official handle of Twitter posted.

For the unversed, Twitter had introduced the blue tick system in 2009 to help users identify celebrities, politicians, companies and brands that were genuine.
