What Kareena Kapoor Said On Her 10-Year Age Difference With Saif Ali Khan
Kareena Kapoor opened up on her age difference with Saif Ali Khan and also their different faiths.
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan had tied the knot in 2012 after dating for several years. While Saif was born in 1970, Kareena was born in 1980. In the latest entertainment news, in an interview with Indian Express, Kareena Kapoor opened up on her age difference with Saif and also their different faiths. For the unversed, quite often in the past, celebrity couples have been trolled on social media over their age difference.
"When has age ever mattered, he is hotter than ever. I am happy I am 10 years younger, he should be worried. No one would say he has turned 53. Age does not matter, what matters is respect and love and the fact that we have fun with each other," Kareena said.
Talking about their different faiths, Kareena said: "We spend so much time discussing interfaith (relationships). So much energy, so much that they are 10 years apart. The important thing is to have fun. The most important thing between Saif and I is that we like each other and enjoy our company. How should it matter what faith he follows or what his age is that isn’t even a point of discussion.”
Saif Ali Khan was earlier married to actress Amrita Singh. They had parted ways in 2004.
Saif and Amrita have two children Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.
On the other hand, Kareena and Saif have two sons -- Taimur Ali Khan (born in 2016) and Jehangir Ali Khan (born in 2021).
Kareena Kapoor Khan will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Jaane Jaan'. This will be her OTT debut and it will be releasing on Netflix on September 21.
The movie also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.
'Jaane Jaan' is based on the bestselling mystery novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X', which had earlier served as inspiration for 'Drishyam'.
Apart from 'Jaane Jaan', Kareena Kapoor will also be seen in 'The Crew' alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The movie is slated for a theatrical release in 2024.
