When Will Shah Rukh Khan Appear On ‘Koffee With Karan’? Karan Johar Spills The Beans
Karan Johar, who has collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan for many movies, is great friends with the Bollywood superstar.
Karan Johar, who enjoyed commercial and critical success with his 2023 directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, is great friends with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, their friendship has seen many ups and downs. They have collaborated for several iconic movies and SRK has also made quite a few appearances on KJo’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. Fans are eagerly waiting to see when will the ‘Jawan’ star appear on the show again. However, Karan Johar recently once again confirmed that SRK will not be appearing in the ongoing season of ‘KWK’.
For the unversed, SRK has stayed away from the popular celebrity talk show in the last few seasons.
“I just know if there is any megastar who has earned his right to speak when he needs to, it is Shah Rukh Khan. I, of all the people, have been his closest friend and family and should understand that. I have that leverage because he is family to me,” the filmmaker said at an event of ‘Koffee With Karan’ in Mumbai on Monday evening, as reported by Hindustan Times.
“I can ask him and request him and he has never said no to me. So, I never asked because I know he didn’t want to be in that situation of dilemma, where he has to say no to me. I pick and choose what I ask for,” he added.
Further speaking about it, KJo added, “When the right time is there, I will ask him. I know when he has to want to speak, he will. When he does, it’ll be extraordinary because no one gives interviews better than Shah Rukh Khan. Nobody speaks better than him.”
“I don’t miss him that way, because I have ‘Koffee with Karan’ with him every night. Almost every evening, Shah Rukh, Gauri (Khan, wife), his family and I meet. I’m having those conversations. I understand why you might miss him, but I’m satiated because he’s a big, huge part of my existence,” he added.
For the uninitiated, SRK has not given any media interviews in the last four years. King Khan has appeared in seven episodes of ‘Koffee With Karan’. He was last seen with Alia Bhatt on the premiere episode of Season 5, back in 2016. The episode had aired before the release of Alia Bhatt and SRK's film ‘Dear Zindagi’.
Talking about SRK, 2023 has been a truly special year for him as King Khan delivered two blockbusters in the form of 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.
Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki', which is scheduled to release in theatres on December 21.
