‘Pathaan’ To ‘Tiger 3’, Big Bollywood Movies Releasing In 2023 That You Just Can’t Miss
After a disappointing 2022 with some big-budget Bollywood movies tanking at the box office, a fresh set of films across varying genres are set to hit theatres in 2023.
For Bollywood, 2022 has been a rough year, with big-budget Hindi movies starring A-listers tanking at the box office. While Aamir Khan’s ambitious project ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Akshay Kumar’s family drama ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s dacoit drama ‘Shamshera’ performed unexpectedly poorly at the box office, some Hindi movies like the event film ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’, horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’ enjoyed successful run in cinemas, shattering many box office records.
The upcoming year has some much-awaited and much-hyped Bollywood films in store.
From Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film ‘Pathaan’ to Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tiger 3’, we have listed below the must-watch Bollywood movies releasing in 2023:
1. ‘Kuttey’: The multi-starrer Bollywood movie ‘Kuttey’ featuring Tabu, Arjun Kapoor, Konkona Sensharma, and Naseeruddin Shah, among others will be the first major release of 2023. It will hit theatres on January 13.
2. ‘Pathaan’: 2023 will start with a bang for SRK fans as the megastar is returning to the silver screen with his upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Pathaan’, co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It is set to release theatrically on January 25.
3. ‘Maidaan’: Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’, based on the story of Syed Abdul Rahim, who served as a coach and manager of the Indian football team from 1950 until his death in 1963, is expected to release on February 17.
4. ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’: Salman Khan’s special ‘Eidi’ to his fans! The megastar’s upcoming Bollywood movie, which also features Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, and Shehnaaz Gill, is set to release on April 21.
5. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’: Karan Johar’s star-studded directorial, featuring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, is slated to release in cinemas on April 28.
6. ‘Jawan’: In addition to ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan has another action drama lined up for a 2023 release. South filmmaker Atlee's ‘Jawan’ will star Nayanthara opposite SRK. South sensation Vijay Sethupathi has come on board as the main antagonist for the upcoming Hindi movie, which will release on June 2.
7. ‘Adipurush’: Om Raut’s magnum opus ‘Adipurush’, starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon, which was earlier slated to release on January 12, will now hit theatres on June 16.
8. ‘Tiger 3’: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have the perfect Diwali gift for their fans! The duo is coming out with the third installment of the hit franchise ‘Tiger’. Emraan Hashmi will also star in the upcoming Bollywood movie, which will release on Diwali 2023.
9. ‘Dunki’: 2023 is officially King Khan’s year! Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer ‘Dunki’, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is slated to release in theatres on Christmas 2023.
10. ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’: 2023 will end with a bang. Another movie expected to release on Christmas 2023 is Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
