Priyanka Chopra Jonas has sent the entire Hindi film industry into a tizzy. On Tuesday, the 'Bajirao Mastani' actress said that she moved away from Bollywood because she had a “beef with some people” and was tired of the politics. Ever since this news went public, reactions have been coming in and the likes of Amaal Malik, Vivek Agnihotri and Kangana Ranaut have given their reactions. In a latest, writer Apurva Asrani has given his take, saying "kings tried to destroy" her and "it's a massive win that she didn't end up like Sushant Singh Rajput or Parveen Babi."

Taking to Twitter, Apurva wrote: “Finally Priyanka Chopra reveals what everyone knew, but said not a word. Not the liberals, not the feminists. They hail those that ostracized her, celebrate the kings that tried to destroy her. It is a massive win that she didn’t end up like Parveen Babi or Sushant Singh Rajput.”

For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide in 2020. Till date, there are many conspiracy theories floating around regarding his death.

Speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka Chopra Jonas said that she was tired of politics in Bollywood, and she had a beef with some people within the industry.

“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break," said Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas' next project 'Citadel' also stars Richard Madden in the lead role. The show will start airing on Amazon Prime Video from April 28.

Apart from 'Citadel', the actress will also be seen in Hollywood project 'Love Again'.

The actress is also expected to return to Bollywood with 'Jee Le Zara'. The new Hindi Bollywood movie will be directed by Farhan Akhtar and it also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
