Legendary West Indies Cricketer’s Son Acted In Ranveer Singh-Starrer '83' Before Test Debut
Shivnarine Chanderpaul's son Tagenarine had acted in Ranveer Singh-starrer '83' before making his Test debut for the West Indies.
Tagenarine Chanderpaul, who is the son of legendary West Indies batter Shivnarine Chanderpaul recently made his Test debut against Australia in Perth. The left-handed batter has eerie similarities to his father when one talks about his batting style. In the first Test of the two-match series, Tagenarine went on to register scores of 51 and 45. However, it is important to note that even before making his Test debut, Tagenarine had made headlines as he starred in Ranveer Singh-starrer '83'.
The movie was based on India's World Cup win in 1983. In the 2021 Bollywood movie, Chanderpaul had played the role of Larry Gomes.

Midway through the Perth Test against Australia, the picture of Tagenarine with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone from the sets of '83' had gone viral.
Tagenarine's IMDB profile states: "Tagenarine Chanderpaul was born on 31 May 1996 in Georgetown, Guyana. He is an actor, known for '83 (2021)."
'83' was written and directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Reliance Entertainment.
The movie told the story of the Indian cricket team, led by Kapil Dev, winning the World Cup in 1983. The role of Kapil Dev was played by Ranveer Singh.
