“Bad Taste”: Ranbir Kapoor Comments On Urfi Javed’s Fashion Sense, Says “Not A Fan”
Ranbir Kapoor spoke to Kareena Kapoor on ‘What Women Want’ and did not shy away from confessing that he doesn’t like Urfi Javed’s fashion sense.
Urfi Javed has become an internet sensation due to her fashion choices. The ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ star’s bold and experimental sartorial picks have made her an icon that everyone is familiar with. From film stars to netizens, the majority of people know her because of her headline-making fashion sense. While Ranveer Singh, Masaba Gupta and Kangana Ranaut have praised Urfi Javed for her style, seems like she failed to impress Ranbir Kapoor with her DIY outfits.
Ranbir Kapoor, who is basking in the success of ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, recently graced his cousin sister Kareena Kapoor Khan’s show ‘What Women Want’. The actor played fashion police and critiqued Urfi Javed’s wardrobe choices during a fun game in Kareena Kapoor’s chat show.
In a segment with Kareena Kapoor for her show on Mirchi Plus, Ranbir was shown placards by Kareena that had images of stars dressed in various looks. The twist, though, was that the actors’ faces were not displayed.
Ranbir Kapoor correctly identified the celebrities based on their attires and gave them a “good taste” or “bad taste” rating.
During the segment, Kareena showed a placard of Urfi and said, “I think you know who this person is.” Ranbir replied saying, “Is it Urfi?” He continued, “I am not a big fan of this kind of fashion. But I believe that we are living in a world today where if you are comfortable in your skin.”
Kareena Kapoor interrupted him and asked, “Good taste or bad taste, Ranbir.” The actor replied, “Bad taste.”
The ‘Jab We Met’ actress showed him placards of many actors’ attires including Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh.
Urfi, who often makes headlines for her unique outfits, was praised by Ranveer Singh. On Koffee With Karan, Karan Johar asked Ranveer, “Whose nightmare it would be to repeat an outfit too quickly?”, to which Ranveer replied, “Urfi Javed.” Karan then said, “Because she is in new cuts” and Ranveer concluded, “Yeah she is a fashion icon.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor can be seen in ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’, which was released on the occasion of Holi 2023. The Luv Ranjan directorial also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Anurag Singh Bassi.
Next, the actor will be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s crime actioner ‘Animal’, which apart from Ranbir will also feature Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.
