Randeep Hooda Calls Out Newspaper For Using His Pic For 'Charles Sobhraj' Story
Seasoned Indian actor Randeep Hooda had played the role of 'Charles Sobhraj' in movie 'Main Aur Charles' and looks like his portrayal has been taken way too seriously.
Serial killer Charles Sobhraj who has been responsible for multiple murders of foreigners in the 1970s across Asia, was released from jail after he spent time behind bars for almost 20 years. The serial killer has been making headlines on almost every Indian publication. Seasoned Indian actor Randeep Hooda had played the role of 'Charles Sobhraj' in movie 'Main Aur Charles' and looks like his portrayal has been taken way too seriously.
A leading media portal used the photo of Randeep Hooda from the movie where he played Charles Sobhraj as they published the news about the actual serial killer being released from Nepal jail.
Taking to Twitter, Hooda wrote: "Is that a back handed compliment @timesofindia or did you genuinely get confused between the "real" and “reel” Charles Sobhraj."

As per NDTV, Charles Sobhraj was due to be deported to France after he was released from jail on Friday.
Charles Sobhraj was nicknamed the ‘Bikini killer’ and he was linked to more than 20 murders.
He was finally arrested in India in 1976.
Talking about 'Main Aur Charles' movie, the Randeep Hooda-starrer had released in 2015 and it was directed by Prawaal Raman.
The film starred Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadda, Adil Hussain, Tisca Chopra, and Alexx O'Nell in lead roles.
In the movie, we see a series of crimes being committed by Charles Sobhraj and the story of each of his victims, who fell for his charisma.
The film received critical acclaim, however it disappointed at the box office.
Randeep Hooda was last seen in Netflix's original series 'CAT', and the actor's performance was appreciated universally. The show had dropped on the streaming platform on December 9.
