And now, the Dharma Productions-backed movie has topped the charts in terms of Google searches for Indian movies. The Ayan Mukherjee-directorial is at the top spot in terms of google searches in India while 'KGF 2' is at the second spot.
Vivek Agnihotri's directorial 'The Kashmir Files' is at the third spot while SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' is in fourth spot. 'Kantara' is on the fifth position.
"Unlike last year, theatrical releases took a lead in 2022 with popular films across languages, including pan-India films, dominating the list. Hindi film Brahmastra and Kannada film KGF 2 secured top spots in overall trending searches and trending movie searches; the films also made it to the top global trending movie searches," Google India said in an official statement.
"Trending movies in India included Hindi films: The Kashmir Files, Laal Singh Chaddha, and Drishyam 2, Telugu films RRR and Pushpa: The Rise, Tamil film Vikram, Kannada film Kantara, with the lone English film in the list being Thor: Love and Thunder," it added.

In the list for trending shows in India, Big Boss tops the charts.
