Priyanka Chopra Jonas caused quite a storm recently after she revealed that she moved away from Bollywood to the West as she had “beef with some people” within the industry and she was tired of the politics. Ever since, she gave this statement, reactions have been coming in thick and fast, and in a latest, music composer and singer Amaal Malik has given his reaction, saying the truth about “campism and bootlicking” within the industry needs to come out more often. 

Taking to Twitter, Amaal Malik wrote: "Well it’s something that I face on a daily basis. When fans ask me why I don’t do as many Bollywood films ? Now you know ;) The truth about campism, bootlicking & powerplay within #Bollywood needs to come out more often. See what they tried to do to this amazing woman."

On Tuesday, 'The Kashmir Files' director Vivek Agnihotri had also reacted to the statement made by the 'Don' actress.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "When big bullies bully, some kneel down, some surrender, some give up and leave, some take drugs, few have lost life too. Against this ‘impossible to defeat’ gang of bullies, very very few quit and make their own universe of success. Those are the real life stars."

Speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka Chopra Jonas said that she was tired of politics in Bollywood, and she had a beef with some people within the industry. 

“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break," said Priyanka Chopra. 

Priyanka Chopra Jonas' next project 'Citadel' also stars Richard Madden in the lead role. The show will start airing on Amazon Prime Video from April 28.

Apart from 'Citadel', the actress will also be seen in Hollywood project 'Love Again'. 

The actress is also expected to return to Bollywood with 'Jee Le Zara'. The new Hindi Bollywood movie will be directed by Farhan Akhtar and it also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
