Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk-starrer 'Bad Newz' witnessed 20 per cent growth on Day 2 of its release, and the new Hindi film is expected to breach the Rs 30 crore mark today. In the latest entertainment news, 'Bad Newz' directed by Anand Tiwari had collected Rs 8.30 crore on the opening day of its release, and the new Hindi film followed it up with a collection of Rs 10 crore on Saturday, the second day of its release.

The total nett domestic collection of 'Bad Newz' currently stands at Rs 18.30 crore, as per Sacnilk. On Saturday, the new Hindi film had an overall 26.81 per cent Hindi occupancy.

For the unversed, Vicky Kaushal's 2019 release 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' had witnessed a 50 per cent increase in collections on Day 2. The film had raked in Rs 20.30 crore within the first two days of its release. 

Earlier, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had predicted that 'Bad Newz' would be collecting more than Rs 33 crore in its first weekend. However, to achieve this mark, 'Bad Newz' must collect almost Rs 15 crore on Sunday. 

'Bad Newz' had earlier become the biggest opener of Vicky Kaushal's career, surpassing 'Uri', which had minted Rs 8.20 crore on the opening day. 

Coming to Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira', released in cinemas last week, minted Rs 0.80 crore on Saturday, the ninth day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the new Hindi film now stands at Rs 19.95 crore. 

'Sarfira' was released in cinemas last week alongside Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2', directed by Shankar. The new Tamil film minted Rs 2 crore on Saturday, the ninth day of its release, as per Sacnilk. The nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 73.70 crore, across all languages.

Coming to Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, the new pan-India film minted Rs 5.75 crore on Saturday (24th day of its release), as per Sacnilk. The total domestic film collection now stands at Rs 608.10 crore. 

Lastly, speaking of Raghav Juyal and Lakshya's 'Kill', which has been backed by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, minted Rs 0.75 crore on Saturday (the 16th day of its release). As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of the film currently stands at Rs 19.05 crore.
