'Dunki' and 'Salaar', both witnessed an increase in box office collection on Sunday.

It has been more than 10 days since 'Dunki' and 'Salaar' released in theatres, however, fans just want to know how much the films are making on a daily basis at the box office. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas have also been clashing on social media, and they are just using the box office collection to show how their favourite star is superior to the other. Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' and Prashanth Neel's 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire' made reasonable amount of money on Sunday.

'Dunki' which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover and Vikram Kochhar, minted Rs 12 crore on Sunday, which was the 11th day of its release, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

The total nett domestic collection of 'Dunki' now stands at Rs 188.22 crore in India. Globally, the film has gone past the Rs 350 crore mark.

For the unversed, 'Dunki' is Shah Rukh Khan's third release of 2023 after 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'. Both 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' made more than Rs 1,000 crore globally.

Talking about 'Salaar', the new Telugu film minted Rs 14.50 crore on Sunday, which was the 10th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of 'Salaar' now stands at Rs 344.67 crore, across all languages, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

In Hindi, 'Salaar' has collected more than Rs 100 crore. However, SRK's 'Dunki' has clearly outperformed 'Salaar' in the Hindi belt. Worldwide, 'Salaar' has gone past the Rs 500 crore mark.

For the unversed, 'Dunki' released in theatres just in Hindi while 'Salaar' hit the cinemas in five languages -- Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada.

Earlier, 'Dunki' director Rajkumar Hirani had given his take on the debate around box office collection these days.

“I feel it’s temporary and it is possible that people get influenced. A person can hear something negative and it is possible that he won’t go. It does have a little impact but in the longer run, that person will see it. If not here (theatre), then maybe on OTT or satellite, and then his love will stay with the film,” he told news agency ANI.

“I still feel that a barometer to judge a film should be… jo debate honi chahiye wo paiso se zyada film ki honi chahiye, film ke content se hone lagi hai. Thoda sa hum ye paiso se karne lage hai, ye tha nahi pehle, ye thoda sa badh gaya hai abhi," he added.
