‘Jawan’ Blockbuster Run Continues, SRK-Starrer Inches Closer To Lifetime Collection Of ‘Pathaan’ In India

Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Jawan' is inching closer to the lifetime collection of his comeback film 'Pathaan' in India.

Shah Rukh Khan is having a year for the ages! 'Pathaan' which released in January this year, collected Rs 543 crore across all languages in India, and many thought this record would not be broken anytime soon. However, it has turned out to be SRK vs SRK, as nine months later, the actor is on his way to break the record of 'Pathaan' himself. On day 14 (Wednesday), 'Jawan', directed by Atlee, collected Rs 10 crore across all languages in India, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

The total nett collection of ‘Jawan’ in India now stands at Rs 518 crore, and the movie just needs Rs 25 crore more to surpass the tally of 'Pathaan' in India.

The movie, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, has collected more than Rs 460 crore in just the Hindi version. 'Jawan' has already passed the Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore, Rs 300 crore and Rs 400 crore barriers in record time.

'Jawan' also set the record for the biggest single day haul, making Rs 80 crore across India on its first Sunday (September 10).

'Jawan' is the first SRK film to make more than Rs 50 crore in Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions. Globally, the SRK-starrer has made more than Rs 900 crore, and it is set to surpass the worldwide tally of ‘Pathaan’ as well.

Shah Rukh Khan is now the only Bollywood star to have delivered two Rs 500 crore grossers in a single calendar year in India. He will soon also become the first Indian actor to have two Rs 1,000 crore worldwide grossers in a single calendar year.

And with 'Dunki' on the way, who knows how much SRK will end up with in 2023. 'Dunki' has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and it is slated to release on December 22, 2023.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jawan’ features Shah Rukh Khan in the dual role of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. It also stars Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in special appearances.

The movie also features Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi in pivotal roles.
