Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger 3’ Goes Past Rs 400 Crore Mark Globally
‘Tiger 3’ box office collection day 10: Salman Khan’s spy thriller is approaching the Rs 250 crore mark domestically and has passed the Rs 400 crore mark globally.
‘Tiger 3’, the latest offering in the YRF Spy Universe, registered a blockbuster opening at the box office when it was released on Diwali 2023. The new Hindi movie, which reunited Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif after their 2019 hit movie ‘Bharat’, marked their first collaboration with Emraan Hashmi, who played the role of the main antagonist in it. The new Hindi movie, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in special appearances, is the third installment in the hit ‘Tiger’ franchise.
However, after a great start at the box office, ‘Tiger 3’ seems to be running out of steam in less than two weeks of its release. On its 10th day in theatres, i.e. its second Tuesday, ‘Tiger 3’ added Rs 6.70 crore across all languages to its domestic total. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the latest box office collection of ‘Tiger 3’ on X (formerly Twitter).

The action thriller has now made Rs 244.80 crore in India, and will likely cross the Rs 250 crore mark on its second Wednesday or Thursday. The movie’s global gross recently passed the Rs 400 crore mark, according to analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.

While this is a significant feat for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif whose last releases ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ and ‘Phone Booth’ did not perform well at the box office, the big budget of ‘Tiger 3’ must be taken into account. ‘Tiger 3’ is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 300 crore.
While ‘Tiger 3’ has overtaken the lifetime gross of the first ‘Tiger’ film, which made Rs 335 crore, it is still trailing behind YRF Spy Universe’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’. The new Hindi movie’s business probably took a hit due to the recently-concluded Cricket World Cup 2023.
After making Rs 44.50 crore on its first day of release, the Maneesh Sharma directorial witnessed a drop in its collections within two days. Daily collections dropped below Rs 20 crore by Day 5, and below Rs 10 crore by Day 9.
The YRF Spy Universe will continue with ‘War 2’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. It is currently in production with Ayan Mukerji directing the project. The YRF Spy Universe also includes Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ crossover film.
