With 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', Shah Rukh Khan has reclaimed his iron throne and how!
2023 has been a tremendous year for Bollywood! Many movies have worked this year, and happy days are back for the Hindi film industry. However, it is safe to say that 2023 truly belongs to just one actor, and he is none other than Shah Rukh Khan! With 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', Shah Rukh Khan has reclaimed his iron throne. In the latest entertainment news, Shah Rukh Khan has now become the only Bollywood actor to nett more than Rs 1,000 crore at the Indian box office in a single calendar year.
'Pathaan', directed by Siddharth Anand, which also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, went on to make Rs 543 crore across all languages in India, and it is currently the highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
SRK's latest release 'Jawan' is also wreaking havoc at the box office, and as of now, the movie has made Rs 479.99 crore across all languages in India. If you add the collections of 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', the amount is a whopping Rs 1,022.99 crore.
Talking about 'Jawan', the new Hindi movie, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, made Rs 34.26 crore in just the Hindi version on Sunday, and the collection in Hindi currently stands at Rs 430.44 crore.

Directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jawan’ also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, portraying the protagonist’s love interest and nemesis, respectively.
The new movie also stars Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Ashlesha Thakur, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan and Aaliyah Qureishi. ‘Jawan’ also features Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo appearances.
Before SRK, Akshay Kumar held the record for earning most amount of money for an actor in a single calendar year.
In 2019, Akshay Kumar had collected Rs 757.13 crore with four movies.
