'Barbie' has registered biggest debut of 2023 with a collection of USD 155 million, while Nolan's R-rated 'Oppenheimer' collected a remarkable USD 80.5 million in the opening weekend in USA. In India, 'Oppenheimer' has collected Rs 49 crore nett while 'Barbie' has collected Rs 18.5 crore.
The Christopher Nolan directorial revolves around J. Robert Oppenheimer (Murphy), who famously led the Manhattan Project — the effort to create an atomic bomb during World War II.
