James Cameron's 'Titanic' is set to be available on Netflix from July 1, however, this new addition is rubbing the netizens the wrong way. The reason being last week's tragedy aboard the OceanGate Titan submersible. For the unversed, five members travelling inside the Titan were killed when the submersible imploded. It all happened when it was en route to visit the wreckage of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean, reported Variety.

Netflix is overstepping the boundaries of decency on this timing. People died in a tragic accident a6 the Titanic site and now to capitalize on the moment to garner viewers is beyond distasteful. https://t.co/tBL9NDLxLv

Another person wrote: “I didn’t think Netflix would sink so low as to add Titanic to their streaming list during this time.”#Netflix #OceanGate #Titanic https://t.co/a6hCUGGUZd
So Netflix was like "lets capitalize on this sub thing real quick...gone head and put TITANIC back in the rotation."

"The timing is so wrong." The streamer also put out a trailer for a freediving documentary that is getting accused of being in poor taste one week after the Oceangate tragedy. https://t.co/OiipDirV6j
Ok. I’ll die on this hill. It’s not in poor taste, it’s wise business. People are talking about the Titanic & the wide income disparities demonstrated by the tragedy decades ago & the billionaires who died recently. You go, Netflix. https://t.co/WVBzGOBngI

What am I hearing about Titanic and Netflix
As per several reports, 'Titanic' was named in Netflix's July films list before the Titan was first reported missing.
The Hollywood Reporter stated that the licensing deals for films are struck far in advance of the air date.
So far, 'Titanic' has been streaming on Prime Video.
For the unversed, 'Titanic' had sunk on its maiden voyage in the North Atlantic Ocean in April 1912 after hitting an iceberg, killing about 1,500 passengers and crew.
The 'Titanic' movie, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, had released in 1997 and the movie is based on accounts of the sinking of the ship.
The plot revolves around how Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio as members of different social classes end up falling in love with each other aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.
The film also stars Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, Gloria Stuart, Bernard Hill, Jonathan Hyde, Victor Garber, and Bill Paxton.
