Supermodel Gigi Hadid Arrested In Cayman Islands For Possession Of Marijuana: Report
As per several reports, supermodel Gigi Hadid was arrested for marijuana possession while on vacation in the Cayman Islands.
Supermodel Gigi Hadid was arrested for marijuana possession while vacationing in the Cayman Islands. As per E! News, the 28-year-old was arrested at the Owen Roberts International Airport on July 10 after she arrived in The Cayman Islands with a friend on a private plane. As per the news report, the customs officials allegedly found "ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja" in their luggage. Gigi Hadid and her friend were then arrested on "suspicion of importation of ganja and importation of utensils used for the consumption of ganja."
The news report also stated that the duo was then taken to the Prisoner Detention Centre, and then both were released on bail.
Gigi Hadid and her friend then appeared in summary court on July 12, 2023, and were charged.
The duo pleaded guilty and were each fined USD 1,000 but no conviction was recorded.
Days after being arrested, Gigi Hadid shared photos and videos from her vacation with friends. She shared some bikini pictures as well.
"All's well that ends well," she wrote as the caption.
The model shared a pair of bikini pictures on Instagram. In one photo, she was seen posing alongside a lounge chair. She was spotted wearing a two-piece string bikini while in another photo, she can be seen flaunting her large dragon tattoo.
She also posted a mirror selfie of herself.
Earlier this year, Gigi Hadid had visited India as she attended the launch of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai.
She was also lifted up by Varun Dhawan on the stage as the latter gave a dance performance.
