Grammys 2024 turned out to be quite eventful for India as percussionist Zakir Hussain's supergroup 'Shakti', ended up bagging the Best Global Music Album accolade for 'This Moment'. For the unversed, the famous band also includes singer Shankar Mahadevan, V Selvaganesh and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan. In the latest Bollywood entertainment news, music maestro AR Rahman, who also attended Grammys 2024, shared a selfie with the band members of 'Shakti' -- Shankar Mahadevan, Zakir Hussain, and V Selvaganesh.
Taking to Instagram, AR Rahman wrote, "It's raining Grammys for India …Congrats Grammy winners #ustadzakirhussain (3grammys) @shankar.mahadevan (first Grammy) @selvaganesh."

For the unversed, AR Rahman had won two Grammys in 2010 -- Best Compilation Soundtrack for a Motion Picture (Slumdog Millionaire) and Best Motion Picture Song (Jai Ho).
At Grammys 2024, Zakir Hussain and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia also bagged the award for Global Music Performance for their song 'Pashto'.
Coming back to the biggest night when it comes to music, Taylor Swift won Album of the Year, Miley Cyrus won Record of the Year, and Billie Eilish won Song of the Year.
Taylor Swift was also awarded with Best Pop Vocal Album while Miley Cyrus also won Best Pop Solo Performance.
