Actor Jeremy Renner Suffers "Blunt Chest Trauma", Remains In Intensive Care

'Hawkeye' actor Jeremy Renner has suffered "blunt chest trauma" after being involved in a weather-related accident on Monday. However, the actor's representatives have confirmed that he is out of surgery and he remains in intensive care. It has also been in confirmed that Renner remains in "critical but stable" condition, reported Variety.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans," the statement from the actor's representation read.

After being transferred to medical center after being involved in an accident on Monday, Renner underwent surgery.

Renner has starred in several Marvel projects as 'Hawkeye/Clint Barton' since the 2011-film 'Thor'. Apart from this, Renner has also starred in 'Mission: Impossible' series. He has also starred in movies like 'Arrival', 'American Hustle' and '28 Weeks Later'.

He has also been nominated for two Oscars during his career. Renner had started his career by appearing in films such as 'Dahmer' and 'Neo Ned'.

Renner was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in 'The Hurt Locker' and then he was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor for his performance in 'The Town'. 

The actor is currently starring in the Taylor Sheridan series called 'Mayor of Kingstown' and the second season for the show will premiere in January this year.
