'Avatar The Way Of Water' has minted more than 100 crores inside three days at the Indian box office.

'Avatar: The Way Of Water' has taken the Indian box office by storm and the James Cameron-directorial has minted more than 129 crores at the box office over the weekend. The film registered more than 46 crores on Sunday, taking the tally to more than 100 crores net at the box office. It is important to note that this collection includes all versions of the movie that are playing at the Indian markets currently.

The box office collection of the movie was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh and he informed the fans that the movie registered a collection of more than 40 crores on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

'Avatar The Way Of Water' had released in India on Friday, December 16 and the movie has garnered both critics and commercial acclaim.

'Avatar' had released in 2009 and it went on to become the highest-grossing film in the world.

The first 'Avatar' which was released in 2009 was set in the mid-22nd century where humans are trying to colonise pandora, a habitable moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system, to mine the valuable mineral unobtanium.

The story for 'Avatar: The Way Of Water' has been co-written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno.
