Oscars 2023: 'RRR' song 'Naatu Naatu' and 'The Elephant Whisperers' won big at the awards night.

India had quite an outing at Oscars 2023, and the country has plenty to celebrate about. 'RRR' track 'Naatu Naatu' picked up a win in the Best Original song category while 'The Elephant Whisperers' won Best Documentary Short Film. However, the third nominee from the country titled 'All That Breathes' missed out on winning the Best Documentary Feature. Ever since the awards winners were announced, reactions have been pouring in. Deepika Padukone also made her presence felt at the Oscars 2023 and she introduced the performers on stage before 'Naatu Naatu' was performed live.

Here are some of the reactions after 'The Elephant Whisperers' and 'Naatu Naatu' made it big at the Oscars 2023:

As a part of his acceptance speech at Oscars 2023, composer MM Keeravani sang a self-composed song in the honour of 'RRR' director SS Rajamouli, and India.

While 'Naatu Naatu' became the first track from an Indian film to pick up an Oscars award, it is the second Indian song to pick up the prestigious award, after 'Jai Ho' from 'Slumdog Millionaire' which had picked up a win in the same category in 2009.

The 95th Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the mega awards night and this was his third time, hosting the event, after the 89th and 90th editions of the ceremony which were held in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

The nominations for Oscars 2023 were announced on January 24 by actors Riz Amed and Allison Williams.

Both 'Avatar: The Way Of Water' and 'Top Gun: Maverick' secured nominations in the Best Picture category, and hence this marked the first time that two sequels featured in one ceremony.

'All Quiet on the Western Front' secured nine nominations for this year's Oscars.
