Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to make her OTT debut with Netflix crime-thriller 'Jaane Jaan'. In the latest entertainment news, the trailer of the movie was unveiled to the world on Tuesday afternoon. Apart from Kareena Kapoor, 'Jaane Jaan' also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. The new Hindi movie will be releasing on September 21, and it is based on the bestselling mystery novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X', which had earlier served as inspiration for 'Drishyam'.
In 'Jaane Jaan', Kareena Kapoor Khan is playing the role of Maya D’Souza. The trailer shows how Kareena Kapoor is in an abusive relationship, which her neighbout Naren (Jaideep Ahlawat) has a clue about.
Vijay Varma is playing the role of a cop in the film and the trailer also shows how he ends up developing a romantic relationship with Kareena Kapoor. The trailer also shows how the characters of Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat are old friends.

The new Hindi movie is based in Kalimpong and is the official adaptation of the bestselling novel ‘Devotion of Suspect X’ by Keigo Higashino.
Speaking on her streaming debut, Kareena had earlier said, “I am excited to be coming on Netflix with a very special project. After 23 years, this feels like a new launch and I have the jitters of a new-comer! Audiences will see me in a role I have never played before, with a story that is so unique and thrilling. Netflix has always showcased films from different parts of the world in the most authentic manner, backing artists who love what they do and giving them a platform to reach 190 countries! I am looking forward to seeing the viewers react to a role that I believe is one of my best!”
On the other hand, director Sujoy Ghosh shared, “Jaane jaan is based on the book which has been the love of my life for a long long time. From the day I read Devotion of Suspect X, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read and today thanks to Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay that story is alive on screen. We all worked very hard to tell this story and hopefully the audience will love it as much as we do.”
Apart from 'Jaane Jaan', Kareena Kapoor will also be seen in 'The Crew' alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The movie is slated for a theatrical release in 2024.
