The official trailer of Karan Johar's next directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is finally out! If the trailer is anything to go by, then we can expect to feel a wide variety of emotions through the run-time of the movie which stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. The 3-minute-18-second-long trailer delves into the plotline of the movie. The new Hindi movie trailer promises a new-age romantic story between the characters played by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
The new Hindi movie trailer then shows how the duo decide that if they want to get married, they need to adjust to each other's respective households.
Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh then decide that both of them will spend three months at each other's houses, in order to get used to things. Then we see how both of them are struggling.
Ranveer Singh is not able to keep up with the knowledgeable Bengali family of Alia Bhatt. On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan who is a member of Ranveer Singh's family, decides to not let him marry the character played by Alia Bhatt.

At one stage in the 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' trailer, Ranveer Singh's character tells Alia Bhatt: "Bhai tujhe lagta hai tu hi educated hai na, tu mujhe duffer samajhti hai, tu aaj mujhse koi chiz puchke dekh," and to this Alia Bhatt says: "West Bengal India me kidhar hai?"
Ranveer Singh then replies: "West me hai, but obvio," and then Alia says: "East me hai."
'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is Karan Johar's first directorial since 2016's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In the interim period, he had helmed two short films for the Netflix anthologies 'Lust Stories' and 'Ghost Stories'.
'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is slated to release in the theatres on July 28.
Ranveer Singh was last seen in 2022 film 'Cirkus' while Alia Bhatt was last seen in 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva'.
Alia Bhatt will also be starring in Netflix film 'Heart of Stone' which also has Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan as a part of its star cast.
