Indian actor Mansoor Ali Khan has refused to apologise for his objectionable comments about Trisha Krishnan and other actresses. The actor is being bashed on social media for his derogatory remarks, however, in the latest entertainment news, Mansoor Ali Khan, in a fresh press conference, announced that he will not be saying sorry as there was nothing wrong with what he had said. He also claimed that his statement was misconstrued.

For the unversed, the entire matter started after Mansoor Ali Khan said that he has done many rape scenes with heroines in his career, but in 'Leo', he was not even able to get a glimpse of his co-star Trisha Krishnan. This statement sent shockwaves through the entire South film industry, and Trisha vowed to never work with Mansoor again.

Nadigar Sangam (the South Indian Artistes’ Association) also issued a temporary ban on the actor and the National Commission for Women took suo moto cognisance of the matter.

In the latest entertainment news, Mansoor Ali Khan has now issued an ultimatum to Nadigar Sangam to retract its temporary ban on him in four hours.

“Nadigar Sangam has made a Himalayan mistake by banning me straight away without asking for a show-cause notice. They should have asked me to explain myself about the video. Does that how a case gets investigated in a court? I am giving four hours of time to Nadigar Sangam (to withdraw the ban). What have they said in the press release? I have to apologise before everyone. Do I belong to caste which apologises? I am acting with a lot of patience. If Nadigar Sangam doesn’t retract its ban, I will burst out like a volcano. The whole of Tamil Nadu is behind me," Mansoor Ali Khan said, as reported by Indian Express.

“Trisha has said that I will not share screen space at all with me. But now all articles have my picture next to hers. I am happy that it has gotten to English media as well. What is a rape scene in cinema? Does it involve real harassment? Shouldn’t all those Mutta * (Tamil expletive) at Nadigar Sangam know at least such basic things. Are all those sitting there are Thiyaga Sigamanigal (noble beings)?” he added.

Mansoor Ali Khan also said that the video has been edited in a way to show him in a bad light.

“I myself saw that video and was disgusted by it. I will take necessary steps against the channels. Will not let it go," said Mansoor Ali Khan.

Earlier, Trisha had also slammed the actor for his comments. "A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind," she said.

The National Commission for Women is deeply concerned about the derogatory remarks made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan towards actress Trisha Krishnan. We’re taking suo motu in this matter directing the DGP to invoke IPC section 509 B and other relevant laws. Such remarks normalize violence against women and must be condemned,” the post read on X.

For the unversed, section 509B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) pertains to sexual harassment by electronic mode.
